STORIES OF PROMISING HOPE
HOPE (Honoring Our Personal Experiences): Urban Indian Lived-Experiences of Cancer
Promising Hope's first HOPE series is a collection of digital stories that share the powerful voices of Urban Native Americans impacted by cancer. This project was supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute of General Medical Sciences under award number R25GM142096 (SEPA), and the National Cancer Institute under award number R25CA221777 (YES). The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the National Institutes of Health. The digital stories feature three cancer survivors and one community perspective, these stories reveal the emotional and cultural dimensions of their cancer journeys. With a focus on personal strength, community support, and cultural grounding. HOPE offers a space for reflection, connection, and understanding, showcasing lived experiences that inspire hope and bring a deeper awareness of the unique experiences of cancer.
